Nah, at this point everyone will think he sucks. Democrats are not going to forget a late, game-changing move that flew in the face of Justice Department policy. Trump supporters are going to be annoyed that he didn't keep this on the down low until at least after the election.

Still love that movie.

I heard a rumor that anchor tags would make text blue (no luck with other colors, we'll see if this works).

I preferred this method. One filmmaker ends up being very susceptible to the problem that if you are too close or too far from the single person's opinions then there just isn't a whole lot of value. Casting a larger net means getting exposed to both more different opinions, and mare new filmmakers.

Fair enough, that is a modern example of GREAT special effects, which probably, not so coincidentally, made heavy use of practical effects.

Slight tangent, the "black people always die first" thing has always bugged me as not really accurate. At least not for the past 4 decades or so. I understand that it came from an older time, but my horror viewing life has been filled with black characters making it to the end of lots of movies, and the only one I

Seriously. Aside from the 5 seconds of stop motion, what in this film doesn't still look amazingly beautiful and way above average by today's standards? Practical effects don't age shittily like CGI does; if it looked good then, it looks good now. Between this and An American Werewolf in London I'm pretty sure

I remember being really down on it when it was announced. Then they released the first 5 minutes online and I thought "shit, I may have to eat crow about this, this looks really tense and good."

The directors cut that allegedly has the original ending comes out on blu-ray tomorrow. I'm quite excited.

Newsflash: director of slow, shitty horror movies makes slow, shitty western.

I disagree. I have no belief in real world possession, but still enjoy movies like Exorcist 3, Taking of Deborah Logan, and Last Exorcism. Not a possession movie, but I would put Rosemary's Baby in the same category.

"It is, however, well below the recent Gareth Edwards version in nearly every way."

"Their vision for Godzilla returns the King Of The Monsters to his nuclear origins, as opposed to his space or Mecha incarnations"

Definitely got the Stepford Wives vibe in there, very hard. It is looking really good, I'm really looking forward to this one.

I'm not entirely sure that I get the point of this aside from opening up a forum for AV Club's commentariat for one of reddit's favorite whipping boys. The story here isn't nearly one of the worst that I've heard, and leaves me seriously wondering why I read a piece about this except that I've seen plenty of comment

Well that sucks. :'(

When I posted that there were exactly 2 reviews, both of which were F's. I am just as suspect of A's prior to the release, although I'm predisposed that those people may have been trying to balance out the F's that kicked off the community reviews.

Credit where credit is due, he did some really great stuff with underused characters and put together some great stories.

I am still watching, but so far that show peaked in season 2. That season was an amazing defiance of expectations and plowed through the story, never letting anything overstay its welcome or carrying a "secret" for too many episodes that the audience had long since figured out.

Everything that I read said "after" but that it will also delve into Cage's past.
