Impressive how 2 people already figured out this is an "F"-worthy show before it's even been released for them to give it a potential fair assessment.

I didn't even think he had to be evil, more like in Siege where he genuinely thought he was doing what would protect the country/world best, it's just that his best idea was to cozy up to certain villains and help prop them up with the understanding that they'd follow certain rules and squash the competition.
Damn, did they really refer to the new director as Jeffrey? That kind of sucks. Based on his appearance, Spider-man being back in the MCU, and Norman Osborn being a former head of S.H.I.E.L.D., I had been thinking that it was going in that direction.
It's like if Zombieland was serious and good.
I kept hearing how great and amazing 11/22/63 is, then I read it and found that it was 25% middlingly interesting premise, 75% "weren't the 60's the best time ever? Let's just look at a slice of life from that time. Soooo great." I was really unimpressed, found it to be riddled with everything that makes King a…
Agreed. Additionally, at least for me, the rise of TNF is inversely proportional to my interest in football. I don't follow any other US sports because of the ridiculous investment to follow just one team. It used to be that with football if I just watched on Sunday and Monday night, I was good and caught up on the…
Man, so close to being the elusive article about Joe Hill without his dad being mentioned.
I was the opposite. The original is a shitty dumpster fire that wasn't that great when it released and has aged extremely poorly as numerous newer found footage movies have managed to do the concept way better on every single level. It gets a pass for two related reasons: it was the movie that brought found footage…
As @a_pizza:disqus said, Exorcist 3 is great and definitely a classic. And to add to what some others have mentioned, King Kong versus Godzilla. I am not saying that it's great, but I'd say that it's a classic.
Honestly, October feels like a dumping ground for crap horror the studios know will do reasonably well because it's October and people will go to see SOME horror movie. What was the last major October release horror movie worth getting excited about? Paranormal Activity?

I feel like that's selling his voice acting very short. Having a character that only says one sentence is so incredibly easy to imagine messing up, and for it to have landed so well? Between that and Iron Giant I'm really impressed with Diesel's ability to add a lot of character in limited dialogue.
I only recognize one Pokemon god, and that is the Helix. Praise the Helix!
You know what? Beer snob here, I would not touch an American style lager with a 10 foot pole (cutting beer with rice is a way to increase beer production because it is prohibition, it is stupidity when beer is legal), I homebrew, I have made attempts at training my palate for picking up subtle flavors with mixed…
Really. Inferno is a bore for me. The surreal dreamlike aspect of it only goes so far without some connective tissue of story and characters I like in some way. Suspiria is the perfect balance of the two. Inferno has too much surreal. Mother of Tears is probably too grounded for its own good, but I like that it…
I don't care if it's blasphemy, I prefer that to Inferno.
Agreed. All of us who know are going to just be angry that it's another remake.
"Unfortunately, having struck gold, the creative team was continually spurred to dig deeper and with a more manic pace, trying to top themselves at every turn. Sharknado 2: The Second One still had its grip on what made the series fun, but Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! lost its mind in a sea of product placement, cameos,…
You're on the AV Club, where all opinions are welcome for judgement.
I notice that the io9 article posits that there will be fans of J'son who will be annoyed by his removal, yet fails to posit what Bigfoot or the Tooth Fairy might think of the change. I would have rejoiced to hear that Star Lord's father was Pip the Troll if it meant no J'son.
