"We're for the compulsory serving of asparagus at breakfast, free corsets for the under-5s and the abolition of slavery. "

I agree. Go back to it. The second half of the series, from The Queen Of Spain's Beard onward, is where it really hits its stride, and those three episodes hold up well against the later stuff.

Super Furry Animals.

"The most disturbing use of a bell since Breaking Bad…"

Didn't know that. I was guessing it was a gag about the Red Sox hitter.

Loved the stuff about Andrew's "dream jobs".

"He's…………sort of a monster"

Never mind that - surely Andy Zaltzman is on the phone to his lawyers right now?

SPOILERS -

Quentyn Martell's interesting, I think. The whole things been setting him up as this great hero, of Targaryen blood, so he's going to marry Dany, take her armies and dragons back to Dorne and then off they go to take the Iron Throne.

Was Dorne in 3 much? There is a casting call out for Oberyn Martell (as well as Mace Tyrell, and the Magnar) for next season, so yeah, he'll be around. The rest of Dorne can come later.

I'm not convinced he's on a "dry spell", but he's definitely settled into a rhythm in the last half year.

Nah, they were great. Andy's bordering on national treasure status at this point.

That's an old photo. These days, he's looking rather badger-like himself…

If you can, you should try and find the interview with Farage that BBC Radio Scotland did this morning. It's hilarious.

Oh my God, it really is terrible. The hair….

Exactly. And anyone who disagrees should be fed to the lobsters.

The Bugle in The Rest? No. No, no, no. No, no, no-no, no. NO.

But it's not really a remake. Other than having Khan in it and the warp core scene, there's nothing to resemble Wrath of Khan. No Botany Bay, no Kobyashi Maru, no Reliant, no mind-control termites, no Genesis. If anything, the main plot of warmongering Starfleet admirals gone rogue is more like Undiscovered Country…

Yeah. That was my problem. There was no reason for Alice Eve in this film, other than to appear in her smalls (in the true Roddenberry tradition). And I feel that having her took screentime from Sulu/Chekhov/McCoy.
