Betty is still Sally's mother. Megan is an interloper, and no matter how nice she is towards Sally they were bound to have some sort of blow up eventually.

Yeah, critics in general have been really harsh on her. I don't know where all this pent up Gilmore Girls themed bile is coming from but I'm pretty bemused by it. Bledel's acting is slightly wooden, but it's not like that's something new on this show.

His hair this episode was totally "cracking up" hair.

So that's why 30 Rock is leaving: NBC is finally reaching MILF Island levels of self-parody.

If a character's ethnicity is ambiguous I usually go by their name. And the majority of the names in the series are japanese, chinese, indian or tibetan. So I consider the general populace to be a mix of all of those races. It's very hard for me to look at a character named Asami who's dressed for 1920's Shanghai and

This episode wasn't about Abed.

Don't be like that man.

The pacing and lampshading all made it work.

Aw man that was such an awesome episode. The first episode in a while I genuinely belly laughed at. That asylum sequence was amaaazing. And the serialization really worked this time: I'm dying to know where the Dean is and how next week is going to pan out. A+++++

do ho ho ho ho

"It sure gives you a hook"
A surprising amount of straight people from my high school have said something like this to me. All of them are BORING AS FUCK.

I feel like a ton of the characters have conflicting motivations.

That was the only part of the movie I disliked. Like, what the fuck was that scene. That had "cutting room floor" written all over it.

She was fucking awesome though…

I REALLY LIKED IT

Christ, this show is such a mess now. I'm praying this season plays better when marathoned on DVD.

The Beast Below is full of interesting elements, but it falls apart when subjected to any critical thinking. It's Blink's evil twin.

I'm partial to the Victorian interspecies lesbian detectives.

Has there ever been a character (at the center of a show) with less agency? It drives me nuts.

The second series was pretty terrible.
