I loved Dukes of Hazzard as a kid, but the times I did revisit it as an adult, boy was it dire That's aside from the Confederate flag thing, of which I was completely clueless at the time. I just thought it was a neat paint job on a kick ass car. Which made for one particularly memorable incident of childhood

Yeah, but if they need someone to fill that role why not use someone like Frederic Wortham? You know, someone who historically really was a moralizing asshat

"Evil willl always triumph because good is dumb"

The only point of the original was Lauren Graham getting all nasty and badass..

Maisie Williams is brilliant but this looks…not good.

Ouch. Too real.

Damn I hope this is good. Seriously, have we ever needed the central message of Trek more? IDIC

Can you give me a source on that Dik? Not that I don't believe you, Walker is almost as much the epitome of human garbage as Trump. But I'd like some more solid ammo to use around the dinner table this thanksgiving

Meh. Talk to me when Anderson champions a cause that literally leads to the death of children

No dinosaurs, but would you settle for a Krayt dragon?

Yup. I mean, there's obviously a "titalation factor" at play there. But it's also well established in the DCCW universe that the Lance family has an addictive personality type deeply ingrained. It would make perfect sense if Sara, under emotional stress from bereavement, would throw hersel into a "sex addict" type of

I'd really like it if they delved more into Ragman as one of the most prominently Jewish superheroes.

I've come to a realization. The modern golden age of comic book movies is over. The MCU isn't what it was. The Snyder version of DC was a non starter. As in so many things, TV is surpassing movies. The Netflix Marvel universe and the CW DC universes are vibrant, exciting worlds. The film versions, not so much. All

Actually, THIS Lois is quite possibly dead for good. For the simple reason that there is another Lois from an alternate universe (more or less) who is currently the Lois that is being focused on in the Superman books. So this Lois can safely be killed off and there will still be a Lois Lane in the Superman books.

Why choose? Just be thankful the scene of Crusher and Troi doing stretching exercises together in leotards while discussing orgasms is a real thing that exists.

Yes, they did exactly this with Vixen and it was pretty decent. They did it the right way: pretty good animation, cameos from Flash and Arrow that were voiced by the actual actors, yet keeping the focus on telling Vixen's origin story rather than going overboard with the cameos. It's nothing groundbreaking but

Holy shit, NBC's online app coverage has basically regressed a decade in usability, comprehensive coverage and just general competence. Last summer olympics, if you were a fan of a certain sport you COULD watch it. This time NBC's app is just a complete shitstorm of incompetence.

I loved Ostrander's Martian Manhunter. It saddens me that it so rarely gets mentioned among his great stuff but he did some really cool things with the character and Mandrake's art on that book is just awesome.

Simone herself credited Ostrander and the Squad as a major influence on Secret Six. It was fun when later on she got him to co-write some stuff.

As I alluded to in an earlier post, for decades there was the whole "Shazam"/"Captain Marvel" trademark mess. Though DC has apparently thrown in the towel on that one now and just named the Big Red Cheese himself "Shazam" (which, unlike some, I'm actually fine with)
