Um, I don't think it does. That was actually my first thought: how does a guy who spends almost all his time underwater develop dreadlocks?

Yup. Because as we all know, the best reason to go to the movies or have an incredible resolution home movie system, is to experience the feeling of suddenly developing cataracts.

If you mean the word "tweeter" I corrected it to "tweener". Typo, sorry. In this context I was using the word "tweener" as it is sometimes applied in pro wrestling meaning a character who can't easily be classified as either a good guy or a bad guy, ( face or heel)

McDuffie specifically stated in a post on the old toonZone forums that he deliberately wanted it to be vague because he felt Kirby always wanted the anti life equation to remain an unattainable mysterious Macguffin

More Gargoyles would of course be welcome. Also, I'm gonna suggest The Tick. After covering the best serious superhero show why not follow it up with the best comedic superhero show.

Yeah, ever since this show Giganta has been depicted as a sort of "tweener", on the side of thee good guys at least as often as the bad guys. She even had an extended period as Ryan Choi's (the third Atom) girlfriend.

Silver Swan. Wonder Woman villainess.

What? No archmage is clearly a gnome. Whom, it is worth pointing out, have been restored to their rightful place as a standard playable PC race

You might be joking but that would be brilliant casting and probably bring in the biggest ratings in CW history, what with the crossover geek/squee-fangirl crossover appeal.

I always thought he'd be perfect for the Kingdom Come Superman. And that solves his "have to sign a multi-movie deal" qualms.

I dunno, even if she had never heard of a horse, it still seem odd that she would be so mystified by the concept of a riding animal.

Agree with most of this though I think Shada would have ended up being pretty darn good if it had gotten through the whole production process. Still, it gave us Dirk Gently so I suppose it's for the best that thing went down as they did

Doctor Who (with the exception of I would say 2 clunker episodes) was better than most of the shows on this list this year. Peter Capaldi did wonders with the role. Of course he doesn't draw the fangirl-squee factor like Tennant or Smith, so of course Doctor Who will not be on a list like this.

Cannot recommend The Martian enough. Much hay is frequently made around here about "hard" sci-fi and what qualifies and whether it is worth judging a work of fiction on those terms. I'll put whatever sci-fi connoisseur cred I have earned over the years on the line to say that The Martian is the best hard sci-fi

See, I never got that. They always seemed to have a big brother/little sister kind of dynamic going on, nothing squicky

I'm not one of those that rags on every DC Movie (I like the TDK trilogy and I think Man of Steel was decent, though flawed), but damned if that little half minute exchange between Diana and King doesn't have more natural-feeling dialogue than there is to be found in all the movies combined.

That Ostrander - Mandrake run was so good. But then, I'm convinced Ostrander could write a compelling Kite Man series.

Classic DCAU sneaking in a little adult humor: keep your eye on Devil Ray as Giganta strides into battle

Now,now. We've allseen far too many body bags and ball sacks.
