If it were the former the better word would have been "horrifying". And anyway, I kind of like Earth 2 Grundy.  *SPOILERS* He's kind of a combination of classic Grundy and The Gray Man, which is a clever combination that makes him a logical nemesis for Alan Scott, who in this continuity is apparently powered by The

Oop… I just mentioned him above. Because I'm a dope and didn't read down to the bottom of the page before posting.

Well.. John Dee was the name of Queen Elizabeth I's adviser on astrology and the occult, so there's kinda sort of a very general theme to the character.

I kind of like Earth 2 as well, though it's certainly got a few flaws.   World's Finest, however, just seems boring to me.

I deny it.  It's "meta". So what? That's code for "I think I'm being much cleverer than I am".

Tusk!

Tusk!

It's an unusual pairing, and one that I think works well precisely because they never "pulled the trigger" on having them get together.

I don't know if the pure historicals would work in the modern series but I would love to see them take a stab at it. The thing is, there are always going to be serials set in the past of Earth. It's in the basic DNA of the show. But if you keep setting those stories during these big historical events and putting alien

Hah!  I agree with you on "Gunfighters" but hey, if someone likes it, I don't begrudge them making the suggestion.  That damn song though…

I continue to cast my votes for "Inferno". If there is a return to the gothic-horror period my vote is for "Fang Rock". I think the idea of covering all the final serial of each Doctor is neat for when the reviews wind down. At the very least "Androzzani" warrants a reviews solely on it's own merits.

I agree completely. I think it's most apparent and cringe inducing in this episode in part because the episode as a whole is more rooted in the "real-world" than most others where the trope is used.  It kind of sours the episode for me.

I really liked "Deathwaker".  Best episode thus far in my opinion.
