I've come to terms with Damon telling her to turn her emotions off.  The justification I gave it in my head is that Damon is giving them all space to breathe.  The emotions aren't gone, they're just on hold for now — it's safe to assume this is not a permanent solution.

Or the filling in an Anna-and-Vicki sandwich.

I was confused by him vamping-out on the island, and this seems as likely a reason as any.  I couldn't figure out what they were trying to show the audience by having that happen.  It didn't seem random, but I couldn't really figure it out given the context they gave us.

How else will we introduce flashbacks if not by someone stealing Stefan's diary and reading it out loud?  There's no other way to know what happened in the past without this vital documentation.

I wish it was next week, but it's hiatus until March 14th.

I would enjoy that and bake us fake internet cookies.

Oh, yeah, when it all goes inevitably wrong, the blame will all be Damon's (as always) even if Stefan instigated it.

I don't know…was he physically there in any of the scenes with Bonnie?  I took it to mean that he was basically a figment of her imagination the whole time.  Damon never sees him, certainly doesn't get him to the airport or give him a ride back to MF.  And he shows up on Bonnie's doorstep out of nowhere.  So I was

That awful horse drawing/artwork on Elena's bedroom wall.

Not enough likes in the world for this.  You get them all.

4.  He finally seemed like he had his head in the game.  Or maybe he's just going for super evil now.  Either way, Shane wasn't completely annoying this ep.

I fully expected the scene with him crying in his truck to end up with him crawling in the back seat under a blanket and going to sleep.  That's why I think it was particularly awful that they burned that house down, with all their possessions — because obviously Matt could've used some of that stuff.

Matt would've taken everything in the house — all the food, practically new clothing, cleaning supplies, everything.  They should've just let him move in — say Jeremy went back to Denver.

So how 'bout that whole "Quetsiyah created the Other Side" business?  That seems pretty over-powered right?

Not in Seasons 1 and 2.  At least then they talked about feelings while eating people.

Exactly.  His last human friend dead.  Also, with the Gilbert House gone, probably his last access to hot showers.

I think this was the first time we've seen Silas take the form of someone still alive — I was sure that Shane would be dead and Silas' magic would be like the First on Buffy.  But nope, looks like Bonnie could hallucinate anyone, dead or alive.

Yeah, I would have liked it more if she'd done it on her own — the grief is just too much and she snaps.  Having Damon do it really squicked me.  But now I guess when it all goes wrong they can blame him for it, or something?

I had the same issue but then I thought, this is the town that probably spends half of its budget covering up various supernatural deaths.  They'll probably be cool with it.  Just call the sheriff.
