You know, the show has really been pushing the Crystal Empire hard. Cadance and Shining Armor have been in six out of fourteen episode since they were introduced. Which is weird, because it's not like Hasbro has been pushing Crystal Empire toys all that hard. I can only conclude there's some kind of creative reasoning

Twilight becoming a goddamned alicorn/princess was a betrayal of
everything MLPFIM stood for that had attracted bronies to begin with.

There were plenty of Harry Potter fans who were trying to intimidate young adults out of the fandom. Are you as angry about that?

@Charlotte_Grote:disqus The problem with writing off people who are doing this stuff as being
"zealots" and arguing that every community will have people like this is
that it's essentially saying this stuff is acceptable because it's the
same everywhere else,

@Charlotte_Grote:disqus You're right about all those things, of course, but what you've pointed is endemic (with appropriate fandom-specific things subbed in for pony-specific things) to just about any fandom that has a strong following in the 18-35 male demo.

In my headcanon, all of the Princesses of Ooo are somehow related to each other, Austo-Hungarian nobility style.

Finn's a bit of a mutant himself.

I just don't know that it's AVC material, even though the lot of us do like some dumb shit.

My only issue with Bronies is that they've basically decided the show is for them

Your argument seems to be "because some of the fans are insane, all of the fans should be ashamed."

Well, if you read "Trial of the Monarch" hyper-literally, mindwipes only don't work necromancers, I suppose.

Mindwipes don't work on Orpheus and other magic people. We know that from "The Trial of the Monarch."

G'Kar's conversion is not seen as a kind of fanaticism,

Kosh probably is G'Lan, isn't he?

Well, there was definitely some of the whole being perceived as a telepath and only a telepath, but she was also ONLY called in when they needed… a telepath. At that point she's essentially a tool.

Well, the command staff only calls Lyta the telepath when they need a
telepath. I imagine they also only call an interpreter when they need an
interpreter, and a plumber when they need a plumber.

It's over-the-top, especially when he manages to squint only one eye in
order to indicate tension, but the idea that Zack is not terribly smart,
that he literally doesn't know how to respond in situations like this,
gives the whole story more power.

I like Bester, I really do.  More importantly, I understand him.  He honestly believes he is protecting his people from what he feels is oppression by humans.

The almost throwaway part of the Clark reveal is how it shows that
Sheridan hasn't fully committed to having to lead the rebellion against
Earth.

Trivia: if you were watching these as-they-aired, Gethsemane ended up being incredibly boring.
