Listen, 'Cest, there's room for precisely one guy on this board who writes long, thoughtful screeds full of deeply controversial opinions, and his name is Murc.

I've actually often wondered what it was like for Roku living in Kyoshi's shadow.

Economically speaking, it is almost always more efficient to move towards capital-intensive methods of production rather than labor-intensive ones. Yeah, doing so has a marked tendency to fuck over labor, but in terms of pure productivity its almost always better to move away from things that require actual hands-on

Republic City could use some better ATC. I mean, sure, they don't have radar I don't think, but they do have radio and dispatching War Zeppelin Amon isn't precisely inconspicuous.

I've been waiting for you to get in on this.

Potentially sad things to think about:

Excellent review as always Emily. I'd like to challenge you on just one point, tho:

I don't know, @avclub-68c81a145181a6b3092221895a3fd1a9:disqus . Sure, Bu Taka (am I spelling that right?) SEEMED a little bit shady. But Mako and Bolin didn't seem to feel like they were being taken advantage of.

it seems like Korra and Aang would be better suited to solve each other's problems.

The most compelling fan theory I've seen on that is that he simply bent the air out of their lungs.

All of this was expoliated elsewhere and in more depth

I'm not sure it would work that way.

… did you just make Fluttershy cry?

Only if you first acknowledge she wasn't as much of a player as Sokka.

Tenzin does not appear to carry his glider staff everywhere with him, the same way Aang did.

Bolin & Mako really suck.

There's an episode this season called "Skeleton in the Closet"

Hey, cousin-banging is legal for the majority of people living in the US.

… they already DID find a way to incorporate him into every episode, didn't they?

Maybe I'm the only one who noticed, and cared about it, but there was something I thought was an off and glaring dialogue slip towards the end of The Alternate.
