The screeners sent out don't have previews for the next ep. Thus my question about Naevia. The Agron thing is REALLY surprising, but that looked like a fatal wound, and…why leave one of the main warriors alive??? Oh well.

Thanks! I think!
It's a totally fair point: men such as these don't get to die in ways as glorious as they would have anticipated. I'm 100% with you on that. And I tried to reserve the right to say I know the show will use Tiberius' actions tonight down the line. My objection was that they felt geared entirely towards what's to come…
It's not a matter of Tiberius being seen as the superior swordsman. On this, I'm on agreement with you. I just foresaw a situation in which many might object to someone like Tiberius being the one to eliminate two long-standing members of the show, when both Crixus and Agron had faced down much fiercer warriors and…
There's a difference in saying they have sex and that they are intimate. I would argue they have had sex, probably have occasional sex now even if it's not depicted on screen, but that it's perfunctory and not "intimate" in the sense of them being truly engaged with the act. But the way he talks about Tom here, and…
At one point, he managed to simultaneously land perpendicular and parallel to the water. So that was something!
Ratings in some ways don't matter, given that there are now only four episodes left. But I do think this show will grow in stature over time, as people pass around this show to others in that, "Hey, check THIS out" way.
All created on Kamino, yes. But I may have spoiled next week's ep…
I am not writing them one week at a time. Just one episode at a time. I've written a bunch already. We're just running them once a week. That's all.
I don't have distaste for "House Of Cards". I have a current preference for "Scandal". My reviews/grades of HoC have been relatively positive. I have the first two hours "B"s. Today's review will feature a grade higher than that. It's not as simple as "one show is good and another is bad". I tried to zero in on one…
I used the wrong word in a review. I wouldn't read a lot into it. I know the difference between the two machines, but just typed out the wrong one.
Your approach to television isn't wrong…but that's what we do here. If that's not your thing, that's fine. But expecting this site to not engage with the shows probably will continue to frustrate you. I always point to Moff's Law at times like this, since it's the best summation of this type of impasse.
Were this a post-air review, I would have fully explained this. My intention was to have people notice this and ponder its meaning upon viewing.
This makes sense!
Change approved!
Know what's strange? I thought Bobby finding out happened in the finale…but on my S1 DVD, selecting "Breakdown" gives you that episode. Which means, when watching the DVD, Travis' graduation is the last episode, "Finding Out". Which is an anticlimatic ending, to say the least. Since it had been a few years since I…
Thanks for listening! I appreciate it. This is a one-time assignment, and there's total value in checking in on shows like this periodically to see how they align with the pilots. Some shows get much better, some much worse. There's a kernal of a good idea here. But on this network under these circumstances? It's hard…

Eh, I wouldn't worry about the grades. I'd agree that First Lady/Nancy scene was top marks, as I wrote above. But there were more awkward spots this week than last. But I enjoyed both episodes quite a bit. I'm stingy on the "A"-level grades because I think the show has the potential to exceed its current status and…
