And I listed all the ones that made me laugh at loud, for sure. But I didn't grade the show based on individual moments but as a 40+ minute episode of comedy. In that respect, I feel good about the grade. But, as you all know, grading an incredibly subjective thing, so, flame away.

It's fine that you disagree. But can you specify what did work, rather than just saying I took a step back because I didn't love it as much as you? That way we can have a discussion here, not simple accusations and promises of trashing down the line. And I'd much rather have a discussion about the episode than about

It's in Chuck's first scene with Sarah…might even be his first line. He tells Ned that it's silly to let his kids raise direwolves.

Hi. That would be me. I'll be covering Chuck for the rest of S4. Glad you enjoyed the review!

I vastly preferred "Sound Effects" when it was done by two clueless audience members, but I know what you mean in general.

The wife and I saw the Colin/Brad show last fall, where games were 20 minutes long. It was really something to behold. It wasn't quite what you're talking about, but I did enjoy how deep they got into the scenarios.

This run is 40 eps. I amended to make that clearer.

I kept waiting for him to have a 'roid-induced meltdown, like Vanilla Ice did in that MTV special "25 Lame" with Jon Stewart, Denis Leary, Janeane Garofalo, and Chris Kattan. That he didn't is something of a miracle.

The misdirection is to the level of the doctor on "Family Guy" at this point.

Or helping Will Forte's The Falconer save Donald through repeated use of time travel.

The cake is a lie!

The Lady Gaga comment came from the physical transformation and complete change in attitude, and had nothing to do with anything comedy-related.

Sorry, got confused between fictional TV character and real-life political activist. It happens. My bad.

Sadness in Sitcoms
I hate even using the word "sitcoms," since it's a fairly inaccurate and at times insulting way to describe what's become an incredibly elastic form. (And when "Glee" keeps winning awards for "Best Comedy," perhaps even "comedy" is suspect as a category at this point.

"Truly Tasteless Eric Roberts Jokes" would be a best seller, IMHO.

Well put. I wonder if this is another side effect of a Tracy-less show, or just a one-off instance of her returning to semi-reality.

Pretty sure this song was in my dreams last night, mashed up with "You Got the Touch" from "Boogie Nights."

I think Jack's storyline, while funny, didn't really connect to the other two. So a slight tick down. But I have no problem with your assessment either!

Let my italics open the door…to your heart.

I wasn't trying to imply that they left him out willingly: I just wanted to analyze what a Tracy-less show looked like and achieved.
