I hadn't specifically thought about the connection to the charred Woodsmen, but the first thing I thought of was Bob's "Fire Walk With Me" poem. Also, Hawk's map that, in his description, equated the fire symbol with "light," or electricity, which is of course another Black Lodge-y symbol in this world.

And this is why I was never into contemporary music throughout my K-12 life. It wasn't until I started college I heard The White Stripes, and for the first time realized it was possible to still make something that I could like.

I saw this last night in Oakland, and I'd never seen an audience reaction quite like this. The audience was probably at least half black, and you could really tell it was making people really uncomfortable. There were at least five walkouts, one of which was a very loud "I can't watch this shit."

Have you ever read the comments on this site? The digressions are 80% of the appeal!

Don't worry, you'll have a huge farm, full of all the little bunnies you could ever pet, and live off the fat of the land!

As someone from Arizona, I'd say it's more like vomit sitting somewhere much more humid. The Arizona sun dries out the vomit quickly, so it doesn't smell for nearly as long.

You got that right. I feel tears of joy welling up just thinking about the possibility, though I'm obviously trying to lower my expectations.

That scene is still one of the most horrifying I've ever seen. I've said it many times before, but I still cannot believe that was ever on network TV. That would give any movie an automatic R.

I dunno, that door seemed to stop Dougie pretty effectively.

Unrelated to the show, but you said "playing throw with Sonny Jim." I'm just curious, is that a regional thing? I've always only heard it referred to as "playing catch."

I get the feeling this writer checked out of the show after the first season.

In the comics, the Black Bolt's real name is "Blackagar Boltagon." I get the feeling from the trailer that they're trying to take this story seriously, but that's kind of hard to do when you've got a character named, and I'm not making this up, Blackagar Boltagon.

I just made the mistake of re-listening to Bob Ducca's ailments while at work, and now I literally have tears pouring down my face from trying to suppress my laughter.

Gilly is always so great on there. She's probably my favorite celebrity guest of all, though I do also love The Elegant Mr. S and of course Farts & Pro.

So, so many. I think the one that made me laugh the hardest out loud while on public transportation was Werner Herzog joining in on the Cantina Song with Scott and Benny Schwa.

You beat me to the Tiny and Victor one. I also love when they bring in the song about sitting under the apple tree, which, fun fact, lasts exactly as long as it takes to eat an apple!

I'm not sure how you can consider Gordon and Albert's investigation, or Truman and Hawk's discussion, "subplots," both of which had definite forward momentum.

Hey, I can't explain it either, but somehow he's really good on here. Lots of mixed emotions going on.

I wonder how much time was spent picking the most awkward size box in which to carry a pie, because they nailed it.

I wonder how long it took to find the most awkward size box for Dougie/Coop to carry around a pie in.
