My mother died of lung cancer. This episode landing on Mother's Day was brutality.

I saw The Whole Bloody Affair when they showed it twice in Philly (still don't know why this happened) and it was great.

This was definitely a step down for the show. I watched the Uppsalla episode from season 1 just before it to catch my wife up on the show, and the contrast between the two episodes was jarring. More Athelstan, less soap opera, please.

I would very highly recommend The Long Ships by Frans Benggston.  I plan on reading the Cromwell books at some point. The Long Ships is incredible.

New Neurosis + Converge + Pig Destroyer so close to each other means I just can't digest all of this anytime soon. And the Converge and Pig Destroyer are both so good I think Neurosis, as much as I worship them as Gods That Once Walked the Earth, is going to have to sit and wait a bit.
