I also live in the suburbs of Ottawa. It's nice that downtown Ottawa has museums, but this city is so sprawled out with poor transit that it doesn't mean much to me. Suburban Ottawa sucks. Ottawa as a whole sucks in the winter.

Like it or not, Brad's behavior pretty indicative of how a typical straight guy would react to finding out his wife previously had female partners.  When he thought she was just experimenting, intrigued; when he found out there was more to it, jealous/threatened.
