Well, there are a lot of influential bands that I don't like either.  I don't like the majority of D.C. hardcore, and that's huge in indie circles.  I guess it used to bother me when people didn't have the same tastes as me.

Am I the only one getting tired of someone taking a shit on an indie artist referenced in every single review on the AV Club?

I will say that most of the music I listen to is between 10-30 years old.  But I do try to keep up with a couple of new bands, so I can at least pretend that I'm not completely out of touch with the cool kids.

Way to tell that you are old:  "I don't listen to new music."

Yeah, I guess.  I mean it's possible that Wareham is such an insufferable asshole that things can't be patched up.  But fuck, if Pavement and Pixies can do it, you would thing Galaxie 500 could.

My favorite story of this variety involved Galaxie 500's Damon Whathisface (AKA the one who isn't Dean Wareham)  complaining about how little he makes from Spotify.  You know what you could do if you wanted to make more money?  Bury the hatchet with Dean and go on a reunion tour.
