Agreed, but I don't think there'd be a reevaluation of it like there has been if MBDTF hadn't forced everyone to recognize he's a genius.

Although MBDTF is Kanye's worst-selling album…

I seem to recall something about Kanye loving The xx?

Nice avatar/comment synergy.

Someone needs to make a Reposted Nathan Rabin Review Excerpts gimmick account.

JFK BENGHAZI'D THE MOON LANDING

Prop Joe is probably the most underrated (or maybe Landsman). Bodie was top 10 for me but I think Bubbles, Lester and Omar are the top 3.

But young, cocky Bodie is absolutely essential to his character arc. It's heartbreaking upon rewatch to see Bodie in the early going because we know how great he ends up being. And "unless they some smart-ass pawns" is a totally perfect encapsulation of his world view at the beginning of the series (and it's telling

You nailed down exactly why I love season 5 so much more than most fans do (I'd put it behind 3 and 4, but ahead of 1 and 2). The "synergy of the two plot threads" is really fantastic, and it's easily enough to make the newspaper storyline feel worth it to me (that and Gus being awesome). And actually there's synergy

I've watched through season 2 three full times and it's still clearly the weakest season to me. Which is weird, because with a lot of shows I love I feel pretty defensive about the seasons that fans tend to shit on (season 6 of Buffy, for instance).

Also it's worth noting that Sheen is against abortion but does not believe it should be illegal because he doesn't think he has the right to make that choice for women.

Me too, but that didn't bother me really. I don't think O'Neal's main goal with this article was informative journalism.

I'm sorry, I thought you was corn.

It did remind me a lot of a certain Angel episode toward the end of that show's run where there's a general awkward feeling that undercuts the drama in that it's largely told through character relationships that were not that well developed and which we had not invested in. As Alasdair said, it makes no sense for the

Also, was it just me, or was "you took the bullets out of my gun!" a ridiculously, eye-rollingly awful line? Like, you really think the audience didn't get that from the gun clicking and then the looks they exchanged?

I completely agree. I was really rooting for Laurel - for the writers to fix the character and for Katie Cassidy's performance to improve. There were moments toward the end of last season where it seemed like Katie Cassidy really might have the chops to turn things around but this episode convinced me otherwise. I

I agree. Slade's questionable motivation was easily one of the biggest flaws of S2 to me and the writers have a lot of work to do in plausibly establishing Thea's motivations.

To me it felt like Ollie's complete dismissal of the possibility of it being anybody in the League was somewhat of a message to the audience that I think we're meant to believe. Does Malcolm technically count as a member of the League? Either way, I also felt like the last scene was meant to show that it wasn't

I never felt like Thea was the heart of the show. I often felt like the Thea & Roy material was some of the weakest stuff in season 2, even though I like Willa Holland's performance.
