Stoker is my second best movie of the year so far behind Upstream Color. It's a great damn piece of work and finally someone figured out how to use Mia Wasikowska effectively in a leading role.

Oh, totally with you on Under The Skin. It's a disturbing, well-crafted novel that based on Birth is right up that director's alley.
Excellent! BBC America will be running it live at 1PM CDT.

Yeah, but it's Sunday at 1PM CDT (when coincidentally, BBC America has The End of Time scheduled). They can run it live.
So….is this running on BBC America as well? The link doesn't say anything about it.
Man, that twist at the end of the Oswald episode really stuck with me. Such an interesting, dark and well-executed idea (that episode has as simply great moment as well of Al holding a gun to Oswald's head in the Waiting Room, trying to force him to admit who else was in on the fake conspiracy).
I just checked all the names (and Jesus, what a cast) and James Cromwell, RIchard Nanta and Maggie Smith are indeed the only ones still alive.
Because they're about to blow the lid off the conspiracy?
Huh. I honestly didn't even place that it was Horatio Sanz I think I was distracted by Natasha Lyonne since I've been enjoying her so much on OITNB.
I think this supercut might have the ONLY times he broke. The man was a rock.
I LOVE Seven Brides For Seven Brothers at an unhealthy level.
No, the youngest brother was Gideon (Russ Tablyn, who beat out Morton Downey Jr for the part; no, really). D'amboise played Ephraim (it goes Adam, Benjamin, Caleb, Daniel, Ephraim, Frank and Gideon).
That's OK, I'm not especially a big fan of California Split.
For my money, The Long Goodbye is simply the best Marlowe movie (and there are a lot of good Marlowe adaptations). The list of actors who've played him is kind of insane: Bogart, Gould, Robert Montgomery, Robert Mitchum, DIck Powell, George Sanders (and if you want real connection fun, note that that George Sanders…
Excellent pull. Now let's go to the beach and drink whiskey.
I love that the last shot of the movie is two Mr. Streisands running at the camera.
Wow, taught by Matt Mattox?!? (And I have no idea who I missed that Mattox died in February.) He was an incredibly athletic, great dance. If you've ever seen Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, he's the one with the little goatee who does the board leaping, like here:

I will take your word for it as I have never watched the show.
Weirdly, I would watch that. But only if it is in Swedish.
