"I loved all the books, but I feel your pain on a lot of those points." I assume you were going for username/avatar comment content synergy there - if so, well done.

I'm digging it similarly to the other ones. I'm about 20% in so far. It has the usual multiple story thread thing going on, with flashbacks to childhood times with Chains (who for some reason, I'm picturing as Abe Vigoda.)

Awwww! only a trilogy!? Dang… I did hear tell of some rumors of a film being made, which could be cool. Not sure how reliable those rumors were.

Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch. 3rd book in the Gentleman Bastards series. Imagine the Sting, set in Westeros-ian world, and you're getting close.

I can't wait to re-watch the finale. I feel bad for people who were wanting something *more* out of it. From the get-go this show seemed like one of those pulpy barn-burners, with a lot more time to expand on its main characters, one of whom just happened to have a rather philosophical bent. But that shot of Cohle

I find your tolerance intolerable!

quality, tone, duration, cast, dialogue, setting, plot… couple more things I can't think of.

"Doctor says I'll be alriiiiight…"
Damn, love that tune. All that early years stuff, actually.

I laughed, several timeseses…

Cohle did seem more relaxed and talkative and (maybe) even curious about Marty's personal life. All it took was 8 or 9 years of deckhanding while functionally hammered and the dude really lightens up.

Holy F***stink, that changes everything! It's the shriners!

That makes sense, if they went from 'company men' hounding Hart & Cohle, to actually following up some stuff that Rust was talking about.

Lungs by townes van Zandt

"For rendering Paul Dano unrecognizable under a mass of swollen prosthetic flesh, the makeup wizards of Prisoners should have been nominated." Spoilers!!! nahh, there's no way I could've watched that movie anyway. While being a parent has made it so that I can no longer watch movies involving 'children in peril'

IKR.. the other brothers just couldn't talk the main guy into backing down. Stuck to his guns, I s'pose…

I Liked this movie.. it felt like a throwback to sloppy/silly old '80s' comedies… also, I may have been u:ber baked!

Word Salad!

That was great.. HP Hatecraft.. and they even mentioned Howard E. Roberts (or some other slightly scrambled version of the Conan author's name.)

Warlock!

Holy F***stink this looks awesome!!!!
