newer: Jason Isbell, Hayes Carll
classic: can't go wrong with Waylon, Willie, Johnny
obscure/old that I'm currently loving right now: Faron Young, Lefty Frizzell, Merle Travis

I don't want to read this until I'm caught up on the regular series (have read up to TPB #7.) Really love the series though - especially the blending of real life authors and existing fictional characters.

Is she the pantsless contestant from Burning Love? Man, that show is funny, a crazy huge cast of knowns making a spot-on spoof of a bachelorette type show.

Also, his name was (I believe) Sol Goodman, a BB reference, I'd assume?

Yeh, they should lose the ads on older shows. Pretty sure they don't have them on movies, right? The latest update on PS3 fixed the bug that let you get around watching commercials :(

I thought it was hot too!

Agree.. also, I think it's still on hulu+

DAMN! CANT! READ! THIS! YET!
I need to wait for the last trade to be out, I missed my chance to grab these individual issues of the last arc.. arrgggghhhh!
NOS4A2 is pretty good tho..

I need to re-watch these two seasons. To me, this and Rectify were definitely standouts this year. They were of a kind, as well. They both had meditative qualities to them, and very complicated central characters. Also, they both seemed to nail their own comedy/tragedy ratio just perfectly.

Yeh, that doc is a great gateway for folks who don't know much about him. I didn't when I watched it, and was amazed how many of his songs I already loved and hadn't realized they were the same person. This led to a couple months of nothing-but-Nilsson on my stereo (he's got a huge, varied catalog) - the wife did

Wow, good for mc conna hey..he's really making a comeback! alright, alright, ALLright

Anyone else think the show's gotten better since the end of season 2 though?

Key & Peele cracks me up like nothing on TV right now…

well, damn.. maybe I'll give the show a chance then!

I think I watched the very first one, or an early one… and from what I recall, they played that securi-cam video of the guy who drives his chair-scooter thing into an elevator door and goes sailing down the elevator shaft. Now, I'd actually seen this video before, but knowing (thought I knew, anyway) that the guy had

Anyone else hate this show? I think I only caught one episode, and it was ignorant/boring/offensive enough for me to swear it off for life… and, generally I like ignorant/boring/offensive things.. maybe it just wasn't funny.

Just saw it today - love the original, liked this one just fine, and was mainly glad it didn't suck! It felt like some of the parts that had been completely glossed over (like what an asshole the main character is before his incarceration) were fleshed out.

Hmm, I'll admit not having heard most of these albums, but still a little surprised that Isbell's Southeastern isn't on here.

Awesome.. if they make it a slapstick comedy, it would sound a lot like the novel 'Lamb' - which is hilarious and awesome.
