For my desert Island PJ list..
I gotta go with dry/rid of me/dance hall/to bring you my love… I never got into the later albums as much, but I plan to try again!
OK, this is a really good album.. love the red-state/blue-state duet, and plenty of others.. My favorite line so far is 'they say I"m no poet, just a drunk with a pen' - which is much more effective if I remember the first part of the rhyme. I'm *pretty* sure I hear Todd Snider chiming in on one of the songs -which…
.. just got this..
haven't listened yet… good week for new releases.. Now if I'd only known about the new DBT before I exhausted my new music budget!
That *would* be kinda cool!
ooo, nice! I'm in midst of a bit of a Dan Simmons binge right now, haven't read that one yet tho… Actually, I'm slogging my way through Olympos (loved Ilium) so I can get to the rest of his stuff.
Hate that! my Dickens has been leaking for days now.. very uncomfortable
Fee-or-en-TEE-nooooo!!
just saying it gives me a… err, I'll be in my bunk!
black eyed please?!
holy crap, the kids really like this music? it does not translate well to a live medium.. wow they were bad.. even my wife, who's a fan (I know!) thought they sounded 'orrible!
Wow, for all hte commenters who are actually commenting on the full season of B.E. they watched, there's a lot of 'no' votes.
Empire their masterpiece? that's where everything started to go wrong.. doing songs on social issues, or love songs, was a big break from their operatic-sci-fi metal up til then.. that's when I tuned out…
"Operation MindCriiiiiime - we're an underground revolution working oOOOvertIIIIme!"
Jools
.. just wanted to point out that any Radiohead fan should enjoy the clips of the band on the Jools Holland show on youtube.. doing live songs from the Bends, Ok Computer (and later albums too, I think) - check em out!
"1941" is a personal favorite (there's a youtube version where he plays with guitar instead of the piano), and after watching the docu on him, the lyrics become even more .. errm, how do you say? they makea me SAD!!!
It's called 'Good Old Desk'
