Oh Dalia, how I've missed you these past 9 months or so. It is indeed good to see you. But when you mentioned "Total Eclipse of the Heart", I thought you would have another singing sequence like "Carmen".

The Hilary and Diane plot was rather sweet. I'm glad the show didn't succumb to stereotypes and have a Big Dramatic Scene Where Hilary Stands Up To Her Friends And Defends Her Mom.

This. Olicity works for me so well as a friendship, not a romantic relationship. The only other platonic friendship like this on TV now that I can think of is Holmes and Watson on Elementary.

Tom's cul-de-sac doll model = A+++ episode

Rudy and Bonnie is probably the the most I've liked Rudy simply because Allison Janney is a force to be reckoned with. Even then, though, seeing Rudy outside of the restaurant and interacting with other characters is what made me like him more.

I too have high hopes for this show. If it earns a renewal for a second season, I hope they trim the budget and cut Chef Rudy and Gabriel from the regular cast. It seems like the show is already aware of what works (the family) and what doesn't (the restaurant) since it feels like Rudy and Gabriel are only in half the

Upvoted for YOLO not being true for Ichabod.

I was wondering if she was going to be the villain all along after she switched places with Abbie. I'm sure she'll regain her powers when plot devices require it. If season 2 finds a status quo where Ichabod and Katrina are both alive and together, I expect Ichabod to give Katrina twenty-first century culture lessons.

One of the best aspects of Elementary is watching Miller and Liu develop over time. Joan Watson is coming from a different place in her life and the show acknowledges that people don't generally just jump into detective mode. Seeing Elementary's Holmes and Watson grow into both a caring friendship and respectful

Stick with Person of Interest. You don't even meet the best character until the end of season 1, and seasons 2 and 3 are far more heavily serialized than season 1. For me it went from "eh" to "alright" to "good" by the end of season 1, and then from "good" straight on to "OMFGWUT" in season 2.

@disqus_g8H1ExLENm:disqus summarized it pretty well. During Laurel's investigation of Sin's friend she also discovered that Blood was friends with Cyrus Gold, the man/Miraku soldier who killed several police officers (as was restated in this episode), which is how she grew suspicious of Blood.

Mad respect. AV Club member of the day. It's like you watched all those episodes … in a flash.

One of those downvotes is from me. Of all the (potentially valid) criticisms of Laurel, saying she doesn't have a purpose in this particular episode is a weak one. Laurel is both closest to and most suspicious of one of the Big Bads. I would call that purpose.

I was dreading the idea of Laurel dating Blood precisely because I thought she would be oblivious to his identity like you said. I am very glad the show is subverting that expectation and having Laurel investigate Blood instead.

The Good Wife, Person of Interest, and Elementary are all excellent shows.

I did forget about Mom, which definitely has its moments. I would say that season 4 of Cougar Town had some deeper episodes, especially with Jules' dad Crick facing health problems. That one episode where Jules and Crick are talking out on their front porch or whatever about how he might die soon was pretty

Does anyone have a copy of the Bird Show Autopsy Report?

If you like those sorts of dramatic moments, also see later seasons of Cougar Town, Parks and Rec, Trophy Wife, and, if it can just get a little bit better, The Crazy Ones.

I'm curious as to how the professor calculated the odds of falling in love with the woman (1 in 60 million) in addition to the odds of meeting her (1 in 2 million). Are these independent probabilities or is the former a dependent probability on the latter? The internet needs to know!
