I watched the pilot of Trophy Wife and really enjoyed it. Kate, the asian kid, and the first wife were all hilarious. And they re-cast Young Snow White as the daughter. It struck me less as Modern Family, and more as Cougar Town. This is a good thing.

I'm kind of hoping the Goldbergs flops enough that Suburgatory replaces it, but not so much that it hurts Trophy Wife. That way I can watch ABC from 8 to 10 on Tuesday before switching to Person of Interest, and then avoid ABC Wednesdays altogether.

I fear Trophy Wife will join the list of ABC-sitcoms-I-love-but-get-shafted: Cougar Town, Happy Endings, Suburgatory. I didn't even try Bitch 23 because it clearly wouldn't succeed. Maybe we can have one, giant, cancelled-by-ABC marathon block on TBS!
