This year?

Well, everything is way down from where it was 10 years ago. That's just the natural decline of the medium.

Also a whole raft of really solid performers that nobody ever thinks/talks/writes about. Like Chicago Fire is the only show to go up in ratings in its second season this year. But who cares about Chicago Fire?

NBC is TV's number one network in 18-49-year-old viewers.

Shit, I didn't write that. I DID copy-paste it.

I don't think our readers are racist. Far from it. I simply don't believe the majority of them know Japanese.

Nothing yet on HIMYD. Deadline (and everywhere) say CBS hasn't made a decision yet.

NBC announces its schedule to press on Sunday. To explain why would take too long on my phone, but the underlying reason, unsurprisingly, involves incompetence.

It really seemed like it was either or, and I have to imagine even most Dracula fans would rather have more Hannibal.

We still need confirmation of what's happening with Parenthood and How I Met Your Dad. And there will likely be one or two additional pickups next week, probably from CBS (though maybe Fox will announce something, too). But, yes, we're pretty much done.

CBS lost more viewership than any other network this season and is going to lose the 18-49-year-old crown to NBC, of all networks, but you wouldn't know it from the way the network acts. It really does project confidence in a way that the other networks just don't.

CBS always renews things as early as possible. The few shows that straggle to May are the ones that are in genuine danger. This is unlike ABC, which in recent years has just left everything for one night to make us all crazy people.

All of those were renewed over a month ago.

Probably the same five as everybody? But Sullivan's Travels is definitely #1, followed by Lady Eve. Then probably Morgan's Creek, Conquering Hero, and Palm Beach Story in some order. Special bonus points to Remember The Night, one of my favorites, which he wrote.

I am super excited for Godzilla!

That's a possible solution, but we would sacrifice way too many hits, and it's unlikely the interviews would have happened at all. These function best (in terms of the network's point of view) as insta-publicity, not as a thing that goes up on Tuesday.

No. It's not. Saying an article or even pieces of the article (like the headline) can't talk about the concrete facts of what happened reduces everything to generic gibberish. Sorry. If it happens before the opening credits, was heavily teased in last week's episode, and has been over promotional materials, it is not

Happens in the first five minutes. Was in the next week on. Not a spoiler. x7

Probably the town burning down. And the cast of Deadwood works so often I really don't have to answer question two.

Maybe? To me, "mystery of Freddie Lounds" already implies she's dead. And it also just sort of sounds dumb. Like what is the eternal mystery of Freddie Lounds?
