Gut feeling, honestly. We could probably do this for Game Of Thrones, for instance, but we have a good thing going there, so we probably won't switch it up this late in the show's run. And I suspect most comedies wouldn't really benefit from this approach (though we're doing something similar but completely different

I think we were probably talking about something else there, because this has only really come up in the last week, and we haven't recorded an episode.

This is the only thing here that has hurt my feelings. HOW COULD YOU? I AM VERY FUNNY ON TWITTER. :(

AHS is the kind of show that really wouldn't benefit from this kind of approach, so I think you're safe.

Thank you! They are getting harder and harder to find, so I am glad someone appreciates the gimmick!

You mean the dark age, filled with swirling chaos? Yes.

They were doing Crosstalks before there was even a Todd VanDerWerff.

That would be interesting, too! I am all but certain they will outguess me, but there's a certain enjoyability to the inevitability of tragedy, too.

We've been doing these for the entire run of the show, so.

Haven't seen a thing. The producers just obviously made Susan Misner a regular this season for a reason, and this seems the most likely one.

He's co-credited with the story, which basically just means that the writers got to ask him some questions about Iran Contra, and then he got paid for it.

Little Ollie North always WANTED to be in the costume department of a major television show, but his father said, "NO. YOU ARE JOINING THE MILITARY."

I knew that was backwards even as I typed it, and yet look at it. I'll make the fix.

Yeah, the show has carefully put the pieces in place for Sandra to be what Stan turns to—for good or ill—when he finds out Nina and Oleg are sleeping together, and it should be glorious.

It is. But I guess I liked the implication of Malvo having all these tapes more than making sure we knew he had Lester. I could assume under the former; now I'm just being told straight out.

Checked with FX. It was changed. God knows why. The original was better!

Ohhhh, I'll bet that's the case!

Sure! But for the latter approach to work would require the kids to mostly be props, and Bad Teacher wants us legitimately invested in the kids' struggles right alongside Meredith's. Believe me, I'd be all for a "Kids are fuckin' STUPID!" show, but I think that necessarily means the kids have to be extreme supporting

That's been happening a lot lately.

Our Awkward coverage ends with Lauren Iungerich's departure from the series. Had her replacements done something interesting with the show, we would have stuck with it, but they haven't. We'll probably do a finale drop-in.
