You're welcome. Believe me, if they got rid of all that stuff, I would probably quit because most of it makes MY job easier, too.

It will take a lot more than a redesign to kill them, I think. There was talk of killing them when I first signed on in '09, and they've proved remarkably resilient.

I realize everybody is skeptical of AUX, but it (sort of) started out as my idea. I think expanding into lifestyles stuff is a natural fit for a site like this. But we're still figuring out exactly what it will look like.

The problem is that the old system we used to promote WOT places doesn't work anymore. Once we have the new back-end set up, WOT should work as it always has.

Many of the reviews of last week's TV Club articles are gone for now, but they'll be back.

That is my fault. I copy-pasted incorrectly in assembling that Tweet by hand.

There were some polite, uneasy chuckles, as it should be during a dramatic scene plopped into the middle of a sitcom, so the taping audience of mostly drunk tourists isn't sure what to do.

The name of the show will be there soon. TV Club's articles are still running on the old system, which is not communicating with the new one as well as it should. Once everything is ported over, this shouldn't be a problem anymore.

I have not yet been given the keys to access how these articles are identified. Once I am, I'll be pretty hands on with it, as I always was with the old system.

I am reading you on the old layout right now because our back-end is still on this system for some reason.

I would calm down. These things are all going to return in time. The problem is that TV Club is basically another site built atop The A.V. Club, so they need to get the core site ready to roll, which can only really be done with the full influx of users, before they can re-add all of the TV Club features. I get that

That stuff will be back.

It went up early because of an error. It will return tomorrow.

It is! But this time, it's our fault, not the new design. We just got confused!

I will preface this by saying I generally like the new design and will probably really like it once all the TV Club functions are added back in, but that discussion was above my pay grade and, also, took place in Chicago, where I am not.

I am only in charge of TV Club. If I were in charge of the whole site, you'd know, because it would have many fewer readers and would just be endless Enrst Lubitsch retrospectives.

Yes. For now, this is the best way to do it. It's cumbersome, but the All Shows list will be returning to save us all shortly.

We actually get pretty huge traffic from Facebook. I don't remember what percentage it is, but I always advise people who want coverage of a particular TV show to continue to link to it on their Facebook page, the relationship is that significant.

I do wish my bosses would figure out a way to block people on Twitter who are asking me questions I have no answer for. Alas.
