I turned 59 a couple weeks ago. I don't think there's a huge number of people here who are older than I am.

Chicken Run?
More ungas, fewer bungas, please.
I think I'm the oldest girl here, so I want to be first Girl of the Day. Time's running out, after all.
Yep, she is. Winnick is also, in my not particularly humble opinion, a terrible actress. However, she looks great holding a sword.
I was in pretty much the same boat, except my brain didn't even come up with "fault line". But I was still sure the answer was San Francisco. I have no idea why.
That works too.
It's kind of like a religious convert being more devout than someone who was brought up in the faith. I know that's a rather weak analogy, but it's the first thing I thought of when it was revealed how powerful Juliette is.
Oh, but she does have emotional baggage re: hexenbiests, certainly one hexenbiest in particular. Adalind put her in a coma, Adalind cast the obsession spell on Juliette and Renard, Adalind impersonated her in order to seduce Nick. Also, Adalind taking away Nick's Grimm abilities led to Juliette having to impersonate…
It was so ridiculous that I have to assume the writers wanted it that way.

Yep. "Reckon" is a great word.
Me too.
Yep, that's it. That scene cracked me up.
I do shortening and butter too, for regular pie crust. Shortening does a nice job for flakiness. I think lard is considered to be the best if you want a flaky crust, but I have low tolerance for the taste.
It has beer and potatoes. That's Irish enough.
Agreed. @avclub-fa3a6526569956b7e39960592bf0e30d:disqus , @avclub-8c1bbcea199457b63dc39f7a024591f1:disqus and I will be right over. I'll bring some homemade bread.
I checked every cookbook I have that made sense, and a couple that didn't, and I couldn't find a recipe that calls for really high heat. But dammit, I know I've seen them. Even Alton Brown was no help, and, as I recall, he's a big fan of high heat roasting.
Oh, man that salad sounds fantastic. So do the pies, but that's a given.
