I do wish she were more famous. She's immensely talented and deserves to be really successful.

I'm not sure how anyone could miss it.
Ugh. That's the first thing that came to my mind too, and now it's stuck in my head. Unfortunately, I really, really hate Steve Miller.
Weren't those cars like tanks? Also, velvet interior sounds both awesome and horrifying.
I find that interesting because "thug" just used to mean a small time criminal who may or may not have violent tendencies. That's how my parents used it, anyway. It's also how my mother referred to her father, who was, in fact, a small time criminal with the Mafia. It was only recently that I discovered it's taken on…
Unless you're Lorelai Gilmore's daughter.
Paris Geller said it best: "You look like little birds dress you every morning."
Well, yes, there is that, although I've noticed that "on-the-nose" isn't used as much as it was just a few years ago. And thank god for that. There was a point when anything that wasn't buried under several layers of metaphor and symbolism was called on-the-nose. It drove me crazy. I went on rant here in a Mad Men…
Yes. Its usage is standard (and reviews are pretty much the only place I see "bathetic"). Also, if you have a word limit, "bathetic" does a great job of standing in for "it attempts to be emotionally moving but comically fails."
I can't even follow @avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus' breakdown of wagering strategy. There's no way I could make a good wager while under the pressure of Final Jeopardy.
Heh. I swear all we use if for is opening letters. But I figure the fact that it mostly just sits around gathering dust and cat hair is a good enough reason to sterilize.
Ha! Marie being a SamGirl made me smile. Not that I favor one brother over the other, but I think Sam does not get enough love.
Thanks.
Here's a photo of the Red (Wedding) Velvet Cake I made for this month's dinner club, which obviously had a Game of Thrones theme. I did four test cakes before I got it right. The one I took to dinner was the fifth. I doubt I'll be making another one any time soon.
Agreed. I think this was the best meta episode they've ever done. Got a little misty eyed at the end.
I just realized The Fall is available on Amazon Prime. Hooray for this shit.
All of this makes me very happy for you. Excellent news.
Ugh. No wonder you're pissed off.
My first car was a Corvair. I suspect I'm lucky to be alive.
I suffer from chronic, severe back pain due to osteoarthritis and degenerative disc disease. You have all my sympathy. What happened to you is one of the many reasons I hate winter.
