Okay thanks, that's what I thought, that there was no way that Vaughn didn't know. And right, obviously he installed Rita in her apartment, of course he knows. It's just every time they talk he gives no indication to Liv that he knows anything, which means he's holding onto it for when it'll help him the most I guess,

Question: does Vaughn know Liv is a zombie? And if so, does Liv know that he knows? I feel like Liv wouldn't be nearly so cavalier with Vaughn if she knew he knows her secret, but I also don't understand why he'd hold onto that kind of leverage for so long. He doesn't strike me as the long game kind of guy.

A Michael/Holly wedding would be great and all, but I'm really hoping the wedding is Kelly and Ryan's, because THAT would be a fiasco I want to watch.

Oh man. The theme song from the last two seasons is pretty and I like it and it's fine, but nothing beats Crichton's voiceover in the original. It's so weird and pieced together I love it so much.  On a ship, a living ship! Full of. Strange, alien, lifeforms (help me).

I really hope they continue to keep up with Stefan and Caroline's friendship. It gives Caroline something to do that doesn't revolve solely around her love life, which is something her character desperately needs. But also, Paul Wesley just LIGHTS UP around Candice Accola, and it makes their scenes together a delight

I'm glad they didn't hang on to this Nina storyline for as long as they could have. The show could have teased out Nina's potential for evil for years without ever letter her fall over the edge (har har).  On the other hand, I can't decide how I'd rather they handle her recovery, whether she should go full on Dark

I definitely thought she might be a spy, or at the very least that the show was trying to make us think she could be one. Now I'm thinking it might be more interesting if Parrish gets a hold of her around the time her memory starts to run out and convinces her she's been working against Rosen the whole time.

I absolutely agree. I kind of can't wait for the Dark Nina arc, where Gary has to save the day because he's the only one her power doesn't work on.

The schedule all of these people keep has always baffled me. I get that the people on the show work on different schedules than your average 9-5er, but how is it they find people who are willing to go on dates at midnight on weeknights? Maybe that was Gordon's problem all along - he was cranky from lack of sleep

In general, I agree that Alaric's death scene and everyone's reactions to it were pretty perfect, and maybe they should have just left it there. But I'm willing to let that pass if our Alaric is truly gone, and the vampire vampire-slayer version of him is kind of scary and evil. It's the show having its cake and

Oh yeah, I agree that maybe Jeremy isn't top priority at this point, especially since he's only been brought back by the ring once. But they just need to at least say that, instead of ignoring it altogether. The complete lack of acknowledgement that Jeremy might also be in danger was super distracting.

My favorite part of the whole night was on the Talking Dead, when Chris Hardwick essentially asked Kirkman and Mazzarra what the hell was up with Lori's inconsistent "characterization," and they both fell all over themselves to try and make the other one answer.

I do appreciate the attempt at giving us an insight into Klaus and his motivations. I don't necessarily want them to sympathize with him at all - but I do like a well-rounded, humanized villain.

Seriously. I read the description for this episode and my immediate first thought was about how Stefan wasn't going to be able to help Caroline through her first post-vampire birthday and how much that totally sucked.

Interesting to me that Klaus gave Caroline the kind of speech that the Stefan who taught Caroline how to come to terms with being a vampire in the first place might have given her. While we're clearly meant to see a sinister undertone to the whole scene, Klaus is essentially usurping Stefan's role entirely there,
