Is jamawn a silent partner?
So was the final reveal of Soul Daddy completely staged? I find it hard to believe Jamawn is that good an actor, but if he hadn't seen the restaurant before, does that mean they essentially bought his concept and told him to go away? Has he been involved at all the past 10 months? If not,

I totally agree that itr was weird how hands-off the judges/investors were. I've wondered about it before, but it really hit when they finally went into the kitchens last night. At that point I wondered why they hadn't done that earlier, and I came to the conclusion that they actually didn't want to help all the

I want to know how a show that "scoured the country looking for the best voices and invited them to audition" and got a bunch of semi-pros, also found a 16 year old girl that claims no one knows she likes to sing. Is she the sister of a PA or something?

how do you manage to look like a hack hosting a reality singing show? How bad on camera do you have to be?

It's the scenes that make the show. The only reason I keep coming back to this show is because every couple episodes I honestly think it does a scene absolutely brilliantly. They've shown honesty in ways I haven't seen on tv before. But then the overall plotting falls into melodrama (always) as if they feel they can't

don't get me started on the hair! Is it a genetic thing? Do they have really weird hair even though they haven't started losing it yet? Or is it a contractual obligation that no male relative of trump appearing on the show can have nice hair?

to be clear: I think Steam should have a way to forward issues directly to the other game companies or provide a specific way to contact those companies. Or simply refund my money. But telling me it wasn't their problem that I had paid for something that wouldn't run was unacceptable.

I have no philosophical issues with Steam, but I do think they're pretty shitty about how they handle delivering third-party games. I bought Mass Effect through a Steam sale and even though it claimed to have downloaded correctly, it wouldn't run. The *only* response I was ever able to get from Steam was that they had

I have lost the tiny bit of respect I ever had for Nene. She goes on incessantly about how she's the only one to stand up to Star (which is actually true to a point), but when she was actually put in a position to be honest about how controlling Star is, and have Star sent home (which she deserved, because she

If they really want the safest option (highest chance of making your money back, no one will ever remember it) they'll go with Saucy Balls. If they have *any* notion of trying to do more than that, they'l go for Spice Coast or Soul Daddy. Either one could be huge, or they could fail. It's more of a risk, but neither

Tecumseh- from my pov s7 of Buffy doesn't draw the vitriol because almost everyone I knew who was into Buffy stopped watching it in s6.

Batmandu- Harry Potter maintains its quality only because it started so horribly low. Those Chris Columbus films are *horrible* adaptations of the books.

eh, the rat was just the icing on the cake of the joke that Nicholson was making. That final shot didn't ruin anything that wasn't already a joke.

c'mon guys, it's intentionally ambiguous. That's what makes it one of the *better* moments in Buffy history. Is she truly sacrificing herself to save the world? Or is she giving up and being a big wuss? We don't know. She certainly tries to frame it as a big sacrifice, but that doesn't make it true. It really is a

the history and the circus setting was interesting, and what kept me reading for the first chunk, but then all the interesting bits go away and it becomes and incredibly generic novel.

but really, I'd love to hear from someone who read the book and didn't know what the 'twist' was from the beginning. I promise not to make fun of you! I just want to know if it worked for *anyone*.

interesting. I didn't know about Ape House, but I know some people that have done research in conjunction with the Great Ape Trust (where she researched the novel). There are some good people (and some good research) there, but also some serious flakes.

Horrible novel
This is one of the worst books I've read in years, I'm still mad about the time it wasted. It starts out fairly engrossing, then throws everything of interest out the window for a really boring narrative. (and I don't know who fell for the 'surprise'. I couldn't figure out why the book kept acting like

Spice Coast is the only one I've had any interest in actually eating at, so of course it won't be the winner. (Stephenie's original idea of set calorie menu items was great, but I've seen no evidences that it still exists)

I agree, the ridiculous turn around in judges this week was completely idiotic. They've been praising Sudhir for weeks, but all of a sudden they don't think it's right for kids, and Bobby even ponders whether America is ready for Indian casual. uh, maybe you guys should've thought of that weeks ago instead of cheering
