mcc- thatwas my understanding based on the Wikipedia def, but I've never played a game in my house where you had no control over your own movement. It may be limited, but then it becomes a function of how limited your movement is.
she's also completely awesome and unhinged on Will and Grace
ok, can someone please clarify the difference between aqn fps and a rail shooter, complete with examples? I just went and read the wikipedia entries and (as with many dorky topics on wiki) they make no sense unless you already know them.
is it just a generational thing? the idea that Norm Macdonald was good on SNL? Because I'm not defending any of the current players, but Norm wasn't anything special.
I've never seen an episode of Celebrity deathmatch, but the idea that it was fake claymation done with foam makes me want to vomit.
My biggest gripe about Hells Kitchen is the quality of the contestants. The show acts like its Top Chef, but the contestants are about 1/10 as talented.
and a C+ for Upgrade Complete? I know its a one-gag game, and its slight, but it's well-done and playable. Reading your review I expected a B. I played it and gave it a B or B+. It's nothing spectacular, but its fun.
But
Will it attempt to subvert the series?
I completely agree with you guys on the ending. I swear I read an interview with Crowe in which he claims that the ending is *supposed* to feel wrong, and you're supposed to understand that these characters are too dumb to see they're just repeating their same mistakes, but I can't find it right now.
Sean, I'm guessing its a little bittersweet to be writing these pieces that are all a part of pop culture phenomena and that won't rattle off the tongue in 10 years, but I want you to know I think you've got an amazing writing style, and I love reading your buzzkills.
littlealex, I've been wondering for like the last 2 years: what happened to the McDLT?
I completely didn't realize some of these shows were still on the air
But really, were they so wedded to the name that they couldn't change it? Do they have numbers that show bad names do nothing to decrease viewership? I'm just dumbfounded that they kept this title on a show that critics seem to think might be decent.
I have no particular feelings about Klosterman, but this write up was really lame. It might have been interesting to discuss the beatles in an anthropological sense as if you had never heard of them, but to do so while simultaneously making jokes that acknowledge you do indeed know the history of the band is just…
Honestly, I can almost see his statement about the picture of her being a realization: 'I didn't realize how much damage I had done until I saw the photo.' But then the rest of his responses just prove he's an asshole.
Bootblack?
I haven't seen that many SB movies, but I *hate* Practical Magic. It was awful in so many ways.
To the best of my knowledge, Bullock hasn't starred in a movie that she hasn't also produced and often helped develop in years. These are projects designed by her to showcase her. And while that's a good business decision clearly, and making her a lot of money, it also convinces me she has less interest in acting than…
Hot damn, Keith! Make it like a Series of Unfortunate Events, and I'm all over it.
