I should have known that finally, at the AVC I could find fellow fans of the Swimming Hour. I love that album. As much as I continue to like Bird and his later albums, I freely admit I've always been disappointed that there was never a proper followup to TSH, and I regret not being able to catch the band on that tour.

I'm dumbfounded at all the negative feelings towards season 1 of Buffy. It's not as good as later seasons, but its pleasurable enough.

Belgand- was Film Threat distributed as far as SF when RD came out, or were you living elsewhere? I thought it was still based in Detroit and without national distribution when RD premiered.

Yummsh!: Do you have any info on what the actual problems were with Sanders' version? I completely believe that he was bristling at taking advice, but what's with the almost complete reworking? I've had a heck of a time trying to find out any specifics about the situation.

The comparison to L&S is apt. Bolt was originally a pet project of Chris Sanders, who created L&S. It was originally titled American Dog, I believe, and was supposed to take place in the southwest with a radioactive rabbit instead of a hamster in a ball. I was incredibly excited by the prospect.

Is the conclusion really worth it? I read them all as he was posting them, and he kept hinting that there was a bigger story, but I never had the desire to shell out some actual money to find out what that was….
