I was really hoping The National would show up as the band playing at the wedding

I actually like Baumbach's films a lot more than Anderson's. By Darjeeling I got really sick of Anderson's style (though I liked his last couple of films), but Baumbach's writing is really sharp and his sense of humor and personal stories appeals more to me.

That Sound and the Fury adaptation was the first time where I was genuinely angry that they strayed so far from the source novel. I was waiting for Quentin (to me, the most important character in the book) to show up before I realized that they cut his character out.
