Yeah that was it, I was like "cmon Reynold, leave those comments to Eddie." And wow, I just looked it up and apparently he's 30? I'd pegged him at mid-20s, max, based on his appearance/behaviour. Stop ruining my cautious optimism about him!

Nice to see Dawn actually doing things at all, really. She usually comes across as kind of passive or indecisive.

@avclub-807a14f872958508d156c1152e0cd66b:disqus Bat soup doesn't actually sound that bad. I find a lot of things seem more tolerable in soup form.

To be fair, we didn't see a lot of Reynold and Eddie this episode so it's not like they had much of an opportunity to go down in our estimation. Though I think one of them did say something reminiscent of the earlier pretty people/high school bullshit during the reward feasting. I can't remember what exactly it was

I wonder if the camerapeople give him a thumbs up once in a while for the ones they really like.

In a surprise upset, Malcolm is sent home before Reynold when Reynold wins individual immunity in a challenge that consists entirely of throwing things at other things!

Well at least we got to see Brenda for more than 2 seconds this episode, and she actually said things!

In an episode filled with egocentric/oblivious Phillip moments, my personal favourite was his arm-wrestling with Cochran. Apparently, he is the fucking best at arm-wrestles…because his go-to strategy is "bend your opponents wrist backward," which is obviously never considered cheating, ever.

You'd think his dad might have brought it up at some point….Also Jack has been exhibiting classic Porter traits for the most part so I guess it would be a case of nurture over nature. Until he murders Daniel and becomes the new scion of the Grayson family, I'm not buying it.

I think Carrie mentioned in a previous review (or comment section) that she considers the grades for earlier in the season inflated, so that'd probably be why.

Since when does Declan know how to lift phones like that? (youtube videos, probably)

Not enough adjectives, imo.

Also confusing because I'm pretty sure he had a conversation with the other favorites about her in which they all called her Julia but he insisted on saying "the girl" every time.

@avclub-c51f9e0913ad03d359dd2d313d6ea82d:disqus I vaguely remember Dawn not being terrible at individual immunity challenges during her season.

When she said that I was also thinking "wtf?" Unless there's a lot they're not showing us, Eddie > Reynold in the douchebag sweepstakes.

Corinne was getting very meta, and just trying to help the producers out.

Yeah I've been catching up on that season and he's always labeled "engineering graduate," which generates some cognitive dissonance whenever he says something silly.

Since my best friend doesn't really follow movies, but adores Jim Sturgess for some reason, we have this arrangement where I ensure she's aware of any upcoming movie he appears in. Last year, this meant I actually had someone to see Cloud Atlas with. Apparently, this year it means….whatever this is.

Really, how would they even bring Brandon back? General psychosis notwithstanding, it'd be pretty impossible to justify forcing one tribe to have a member with a precedent of intentionally damaging the 'survival' elements of the game.

Only Americans may be blessed with extra exposure to the erratic insanity of Brandon Hantz
