It's letters like this one that make me really feel my age. I didn't even know this was an issue in these post-sexual-revolution days.

@avclub-3db41011acc2d229176bf6a92202728d:disqus my Lebanese friend seemed to be "cousins" with every other Lebanese person I'd ever met or heard of.

Was the punchline going to be "sideways vaginas"? I'm going with sideways vaginas.
Ha! I used to live in an apartment facing a narrow alley (maaaybe 10' at most) so anyone even talking near an open window echoed back and forth even more loudly (example: my neighbor across the alleyway had a phone with the same ring as mine, and we'd both go to answer the phone at the same time if the other's rang,…
I commented during the show "those ARE nice boots!"
TEAM ICHABBIE
Maybe they cut heads off in this show so they can replace well-known actors with their non-union Mexican equivalents.

@avclub-5d70f5d378563e9592e4c31bb56692a0:disqus I came to The Wire late too, and like you I just marathoned through it about a month or so ago. I did love it but I haven't finished it, partly because I lost some interest when the focus shifted to other institutions. Honestly I really wasn't hooked on the story at the…
" He's not physically abusive (oh, except for that time he SEXUALLY BULLIED Skyler in the kitchen)"
Dude, my 11 year old got that reference!
That is a low tolerance indeed.
I was really surprised that I fell for that jump scare, but pleasantly jolted.
It reminded me a lot of "Buffy" too, didn't take itself too seriously but still had it's moments. I don't know if I'd say it's beneath me, I'll decide that after I have another couple episodes under my belt.
Edited: wrong thread, sorry.
