I thought maybe this was a misstep on Walt's part, too, to tell them so much about the whys and wherefores around his wanting Jesse killed. I mean, why tell them so much? Also, if they know you'll willingly turn on your own family - just seems like he gave them information they shouldn't have about him.

Even on the desperate phone call with Jesse burning (as far as Walt knows) $10K stacks of his money every 5 minutes, Walt STILL calls him stupid.
