I also work for a church (group of churches) and that experience has been the final blow to any lingering agnosticism I had.

I always thought of him as more of a "relief pitcher" kind of guy, someone an aging show could bring in who they knew would be solid and would extend the series.

Shirtless with a dog's brain pretty much encapsulates my ideal man.

Ah, birthday anal.

I wasn't bullied that I remember, and I too didn't beat anyone up. But I was no saint either, and there are many times I either didn't speak up for someone being harassed, or very lamely joined in on the mean girl sidelines mocking someone.

Well HELLOOOOOO Miss Cates. Don't mind my mom.

Oh, Nerd. You're so nerdly.

Animal House.

Yeah, that was my first thought, too.

I think "reboot" is for when it will clearly be a series of remakes, not just a single film.

@avclub-9e3b631d801e19a9e92a405ea759e09f:disqus ahhhh, well that explains it, I don't watch sitcoms. Otherwise yes, it would have been obvious.

@avclub-6c6094f256f51e83fe02bce6091163e7:disqus and yet it is done so, so often. Just go check out the "Mary Sue" section of TV Tropes and laugh your butt off.

Nobody ever asks me what books I've read lately.

I'm glad you showed up, this post just seemed to need your input. I tried to carry some of the weight but I just don't have your flair.

Ha! Poor Amy Adams. I didn't go see Julia & Julia specifically because in general I like her and don't want to associate her with the author. But maybe I'll give it a look-see anyway.

Wow, this is really sad. I thought there was a lot more freedom to be a slut (using the term in a non-pejorative sense) than it seems there really is. I thought there were younger women taking up the mantle behind the sluts of my generation.

Is this OUR fastandsloppy?  I hate that I only notice spelling errors :S

Well, no, I don't think you're wrong, I vaguely think there was something about a butcher etc., just that the part that jumped out at me (besides the whole SCANDAL!!! of her cheating on her husband [clutches pearls]) was that supposedly it was lovemaking of the rougher, more stylized sort.
