You're a little fat girl, aren't you?

Khaki, kettle, Kings Bollege Bambridge

"Good men don't need rules. Today is not the day to find out why I have so many."

I appreciated that a more predictable show would have had her: (a) forget the third 'R' as a Rick Perry parody; and/or (b) get her tic as she was trying to make a serious point. Instead she improvised her way out of the 'R' thing in a way that increased her popularity (although leaves her sounding like a hardline

True. Aren't they suppose to do some business with a seven sided crystal so the gods can see the fight or some such? I mean, otherwise it would just be a fight arbitrarily deciding guilt and innocence. And that would just be nutty.

Trial by combat seems like such a delightfully insane idea. If you are innocent the gods will make your fighter win and if you are guilty the gods will make your fighter lose, apparently regardless of who you choose to represent you. If it hadn't been a historically real thing, it would seem like a far-fetched plot

So what are the rules of trial by combat if both fighters die? I know Oberyn died first but if the gods think Tyrion was guilty, they surely would have Clegane survive. This feels like the gods declaring a mistrial.

And if he had of just said that and then got on with killing the Mountain, he would still have a head.

Just like Robocop.

I'm sure Maester Pycelle has a balm that'll clear that right up.

I thought it was pretty funny. Maybe we needed a bit of light before we saw a guy's eyes crushed into his skull.

Not sure yet if she's as smart as she thinks she is. When you think you know Littlefinger, you'd better have a really good plan B. Still, the dress is awesome and if the new Sansa is less of a pain in the arse than old "everything should be pretty" Sansa then I'm all for it.

I am traumatised.

Two men enter. One man leaves. Two men enter. One man leaves.

Interesting: this site http://scriptshadow.net/tv-… reviewed a script last year which has the show set in 1981, which is a more historically accurate year. (Spoiler warning: it has some details which weren't in the pilot and are possibly being held back as character development.)

Exactly. Her answer was kind of just networking will be heaps better and more common. Admittedly compared to the idiot who started to talk about computer design reflecting the human brain, her answer was pretty damned good.

I wouldn't have said advertising history was interesting either before Mad Men came along. One of the cool things about Mad Men is that they obviously take so much care with their research - when Don reads Life magazine, they get the actual cover for that month.

Still my nerd alarm is going off at that; they purchase a machine to clone and the PCjr wasn't out until early 1984. Besides I'm not sure if anyone ever wanted to reverse engineer the PCjr even before it flopped - it was aimed at the relatively small home market where it had two huge competitors in Apple and

Like Mad Men, it is told from the perspective of a fictional company but with real life rivals and involved in real life events. Cardiff is a fictional Texas-based computer company. Obviously IBM is real as is the idea of reverse engineering the IBM PC. IBM built their PC in a hurry and unlike Apple used off the shelf

I liked the pilot a lot and as a computer nerd this part of history is right up my alley.
