Interesting. Maybe it leaves it open - they could plausibly do a fourth movie with or without Bale.

Come on.  Bane was on the ropes until Talia intervened. Desperately trying to get his little tubes plugged back in while Batman was kicking him in the guts.

I quite liked Comissioner Gordon finally realising that Wayne = Batman.  I'd forgotten that he didn't know.  All the other major characters had worked it out.  He even appeared surprised.  For a detective he's not too bright.

Yeah, I can't work out whether this was the movie or me. Probably me.

Bane's death was pretty sudden, although at that point you pretty much knew everything about him there was to know so there was not much point keeping him around.  I did kind of wonder whether he was bullet proof or something earlier in the film, because I couldn't believe someone didn't just shoot him. I know Batman

Spot on with the Hammond/Connery call.  It was like a weird singsong American/Scottish/megaphone accent. The line where he compliments the boy's singing voice is really odd.

Missed opportunity: after Talia leaves Batman with Bane, Batman totally should have said "Bane, you know I f—ked your girlfriend on a rug in front of my fireplace".

It's been a while since I've watched it but I thought the GOB line was "… I’ll take off my pants, I’ll show you my bleep, and I’ll personally bleeeeeeeeep.”

I saw that bit at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and it had such an interesting effect on the room.  For the first couple of times it's just odd, then the repetition makes it mildly amusing, and as the repetition goes on and on to the point where they both start to get tired, it becomes hilarious.  After 4 minutes the

Some of their songs are quite good.  (He'll Never Be An) Old Man River is one of the best Australian songs ever written. Plus it made the Red Hot Chili Peppers angry.
