I believe the actors were in a play or pay contract, regardless. Even if there wasn't a second season, they'd get paid as if there was one, so why not do that second season on the off-chance its great?

I watch John Oliver's show every week. I never miss it. I'm pretty sure this Trump piece was a reaction to his failed #MakeAmericaDrumpfAgain piece. How do I know it failed? He didn't bring that hashtag up even ONCE. Not even when mocking Trumps tiny hands.
