Sax solo on Brown Sugar. Also, the Minimoog solo at the end of Lucky Man. And all of the various horn solos in both Duke Ellington's Rockin in Rhythm and Mingus' Goodbye Pork Pie Hat. I always like to imagine that Rockin in Rhythm was the song Ellington played live when, as Charles Mingus reports in his autobiography,

For me, I think it's a tie between Blue Oyster Cult (mostly in their heyday the 70s…the one time I saw them in the late 80s was a mistake, and rather sad) and Newgrass Revival, who I had the pleasure of seeing countless times at the great folk/bluegrass club Holstein's in Chicago (in the 80s).

I get the sense he was a real fan favorite…I've only rewatched Season One once, and that was a while back, but yeah, I clearly remembered him (including that brief scene with him as a kid at the end of Season Two) and I definitely got excited when I saw him there on the bus and heard his music cue.

"A Moscow Mule, and make it ornery."

I imagine Trump just like Varga in that one scene about now, as the FBI investigation starts to slowly close in on him, shoveling ice cream (or whatever) into his mouth and finally starting to look worried. Except, of course, Varga wasn't live-tweeting his unraveling.

I just figured that the fake pills "working" was due to some sort of placebo effect…of course, that isn't going to be the case every time! We do know that eventually, Hector has to have a stroke…or something of that nature…

Nice description. It's all a bit foggy now, but I'm quite sure the show I saw was their first US tour…an English friend took me, and he was quite excited about them coming to the US. I remember also that "Give 'Em Enough Rope" had only recently come out (which was my introduction to The Clash), and Google tells me

I saw The Clash on their first US tour, either late 1978 or early 1979? In Cambridge, MA. Bo Diddley (who didn't really blow me away) opened for them…they were pretty amazing.

I will say this about Con Air, they LOVE it in Southeast Asia. Many's the time I've had to sit on a Thai inter-province bus with a VCD of it blaring at distorted volumes on the TV most of them have installed (and to add insult to injury, it's always the Thai-dubbed version, never subtitled). In Cambodia, btw, Cage

I'm not exactly sure why the fact that the "Good Samaritan" being buried on tribal land would be "interesting;" 10.5% of the state of New Mexico is tribal land.

Well, technically, Mr. Wrench was in Season 2 (at the very end) as well, but he was a little kid then.

Four years. The first season was set in 2006, this season is set in 2010. I think you're confusing Mr. Wrench's season with Season 2, which was set in 1979.

Yeah, the reviewer obviously missed Mr. Wrench. Which is a pretty big oversight, seeing as he's about to (I'm hoping) save Nikki from Yuria and (at least for a bit) go on the run with her. Now *there's* an odd couple.

Ah, Ellen Foley…if you ask me, much better remembered as the girl in the car with Meatloaf in "Paradise by the Dashboard Light."

The "Yellow Brick Road" montage was well done, but is this not the first time that the soundtrack has used music that's not period-accurate?

"…your improv level-one instructor and and his partner who cuts hair in their mudroom…" Now that's some good describin' right there.

Correction: in the lyrics to "Timothy," it's "God why don't I know?" (not "I think I know")…that one is burned into my ears from my childhood…he's struggling with the repressed memory, is how I always read it.

Gotta love Vince Gilligan…in an episode chock full of cartel face-offs and espionage intrigue, he pulls off the killer cliffhanger simply by two lawyers walking out a door and one saying "bingo"…

One line from the blurb on Gaga stands out to me: "Sure, she comes out in the Cher wig and the red leather suit—yet another costume…" Everyone here is wearing a costume, don't kid yourselves. -Frank Zappa (I think the actual quote is 'wearing a uniform,' but it's still relevant.)

Hmm, looks like Gus was a little older in the past.
