No, I don't think Godard and Meirelles are comparable. I have seen about 80 films by Godard, so you see I'm a bit of a fan. I was just pointing out that story boards are not necessary to make a good film, and that a director's non-use of them does not automatically disqualfy him/her from the ranks of "good directors."
