The writers are presenting what it means to be a "hipster" to some 50 year old scribe living in Studio City who commutes from his Malibu beach home.  That being said, the vast majority of the American viewing population is not going to understand terrible jokes about Arcade Fire and Coldplay.  This show is a huge

The male audience for this show is going to be about 0 even with the boobs.

Don't worry about being confused.  It's normal around here.

Louis could walk us through a bestiality video starring my mom, and I'd be thrilled to read it.  Though I'd prefer to read a rant on how he lost out to that hack Jim Parsons for the best comedy actor at the Emmys.  I can only imagine a gaggle of crusty, old dildos vote for that shit.

I tried to name my daughter "Ellie" and had to pay an out of court settlement.

Obviously you didn't see Thor.

I am starting to think Juanito=Zach Snyder.  Next up:  Juanito/Snyder defends the 300 as a metaphysical contemplation on gender, heroism, and violence in modern culture.

Says the one who just engaged in an internet nerd rage.

You quoted back to me the exact part of the EW article that says absolutely nothing.  And your first blog post merely paraphrased a Variety article that it doesn't even bother linking to.  If you found that actual Variety article that says more women watch horror movies then men, that is a good source of entertainment

hypno,

I know a good bit about demographics, hypno.  I even know enough not to think that the demographics of "Shaun of the Dead" and "Saw" are the same because they aren't the same category of movie.  "Torture porn" and "buddy comedy" with zombies don't attract the same movie goers.

It's as if people don't like to think that Breaking Bad borrowed a plot device common to soap operas.  Considering how well this show usually does effectively use drama and suspense, the Skyler segment this week looked very weak in comparison.

It is a contrivance when it comes exactly at the perfect moment when Skyler achieves financial success.  It "came out of nowhere" insofar as it's been a non-issue this season until it magically appears at the most inopportune moment.

I thought this was an A except the Skyler part.  It's just too much of a plot contrivance that comes out of nowhere to entangle her in the story better.  I was hoping through the whole ep the blood on Walter at the beginning was from him going to kill that guy so we won't have to watch this lame subplot.

Hyperbole is for idiots who can't create a coherent thought.

How does Genevieve Koski feel when she has to review this dreck while great episodes of Louie and Futurama are playing elsewhere?  Can they at least switch you over to Ugly Americans next season?

I just gave you a thumbs up for your impeccable taste.

Well according to Robert Jensen, PhD, of the University of Texas, ass to mouth refers to cock in ass then cock in mouth.  Not including fingers and toys.  And who are you to argue with University of Texas?

Thank you all for your anecdotal evidence that doesn't at all affect the simple Hollywood equations of zombies+comedy=valuable demographic of young males.  Romantic subplot in such a movie=girlfriends willing to go see movie with young males.  I have no doubt the movie transcends the simple equations of studio exec

Nothing I said implies you can't like this movie as a girl or that all guys like this movie.  But if you don't know that zombie horror-comedy movies are aimed primarily at a male audience, then I guess you learned something today.
