Well, I've heard of them, so there!

Bill Joel has decent taste in Billy Joel songs, news at 11.

I think "well-crafted middlebrow pop tunes" is exactly what "hip circles" despise about him. Now, well-crafted commercial dance-pop, that we can respect nowadays. But don't raise your brow too high, unless you're going all the way!

He peaked with Nylon Curtain. There are occasional gems on the later albums, but I don't think he's put out a sustained good album since then.

This is my list of favorite Billy Joel songs; you've probably never heard of them.

No, you do not rate the album unreasonably high.

I find that scarily plausible.

But do any of them have David Cronenberg's Star Trek movie?

If Peter Capaldi were cast as Tarkin, that would ruin the movie. Because anyone with any sense would spend the whole movie rooting for Tarkin.

1) It's cheesier than an extra cheese pizza
2) Chewie doesn't get a medal
3) rebellions that hand out medals in the middle of a war are called "failed rebellions"

What makes you think academics would get to see the good one?

I don't get that decision. I understand why they created a digital Young Carrie Fisher and superimposed her on some poor Norwegian actress; we only see the character for five seconds and we need the instant recognition for their to be any emotional response. But I don't get why they didn't just recast Grand Moff

Christopher Nolan has managed to trick studios into giving him money to make big budget arthouse films. I don't see why someone couldn't do the same for Star Wars.

The director's cut is the best, except that the stupid unicorn dream scenes should be omitted.

Nope.
There's about five minutes of the Stormtroopers killing off the Jedi from Revenge of the Sith, then the last 45 minutes or so of Rogue One, then all of Star Wars except the medal ceremony, then all of The Empire Strikes Back, then Return of the Jedi with all of the Ewok shit cut out, then probably about 20

A David Lynch Star Wars movie? Now you're talking my language, pal!

I want some Art House Star Wars.

While it is true that Trump has not yet caused a nuclear detonation, I'm not sure that the two are all that different otherwise.
Your "ignorance is no defense against treason" argument applies to Trump as well. Whether he was a knowing participant in the Russian scheme to delegitimize our electoral process and install

I would take Baltar over Trump in a heartbeat.

Or witch-moms.
