Am I the only one who thinks that the appearance of Dan Castellaneta's appearance as the NPR fill-in host, in an episode about the long-running Pawnee vs Eagleton feud, was a subtle nod toward the ongoing Springfield vs Shelbyville feud?

Yeah since when is “The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase" ire-inducing? I've always thought it was one of the show's funniest episodes.

That was terribly sloppy. Why design a test that involves the subject raising its hand, then strap down its hands? And good old trigger-happy Andrea puts paid to the project in 2 minutes flat with a knife to the brain. Way to waste months of prep, not to mention that guy's stoic decision to endure prostate cancer for…

Hang on a sec. When Rick went into the boiler room, is it just me, or was Lori's body gone? And didn't Rick find a flattened bullet? So…did Carl not seal the deal and Lori is wandering around someplace? Or was the bloated-belly zombie supposed to have eaten her all up, Big Bad Wolf style?

"I suppose the Rappin’ Ringmaster didn’t seem quite so terrible when 'The Greatest Show In The Galaxy' was originally broadcast."
Oh, yes it was, believe me. I saw this back in 1989 - it was hideously embarrassing then, as well. (By the way, the Ringmaster was one of the marines in "Aliens.")

Russell T Davies would be an excellent writer for Star Wars. With Doctor Who he showed he's got an excellent grasp of how to make sci-fi hoo-ha mythic and epic yet also grounded in relatable characters, and both kid-friendly and satisfying to adults.
