Ray Davies was literally the only reason I tuned into NBC's coverage. Of course they cut it. They also stuck some crappy sitcom and the nightly news between the end of the broadcast and airing the Who's performance. Seriously? What could they possibly have gained from that?

Well, someone was cranky that day. He comes across much better in person than through writing. That said, I really enjoyed his new album… He makes everything he does worth listening to. New versions of the old songs are great too.

He's fabulous, but the only other album I've heard of his is Gris Gris. Any good compilations out there?
