Swap out "Take Back the Night" for "Not a Bad Thing," and we're golden.

"SexyBack" is still such a weird pop song. The little orgasmic "yes"s sprinkled throughout toe the line between creepy and sexy so well.

I'm a huge Timberlake fan and I agree with you completely. Watching the film reminds you just how many fantastic singles the man has. He is THE male popstar of the 21st century thus far.

Well seals eat mostly fish. I imagine the flavor comes more from their diet than their habitat.

Dude, The Matrix.

Counterpoint: Shasta County

I was completely impressed by this episode. The original concept always struck me as kind of hokey, and something Crichton himself improved with Jurassic Park over a decade later. This series removes any hokey-ness for me. What a gorgeous pilot.

For me the thing about a lot of these films is that I have trouble comparing quality. I've said it elsewhere, but good remakes take the barebones of the original and make something its own. When you're too tied to the original, your own flaws just show much more.

I actually love The Ring. It's visceral in ways that most Hollywood films aren't. And it ends without real closure.

It's another example of a remake that takes a sidestep and becomes its own beast. That's when remakes work.

I've never seen the remake but Steve McQueen in the original! Perfection!

One of the brilliant things about Carpenter's film is that there IS no franchise potential. Bleak ending is bleak.

There are so many good elements to the Cinderella remake, but the final product just made me sleepy. I don't know.

Romero's Dawn of the Dead is one of my favorite films ever, but Snyder's "remake" is pretty damn good. His take on the original changed things up juuuust enough, and ran with it. His best film, by far.

Anyone interested in Americanized Chinese food should check out a doc on Netflix, The Search for General Tso. Thoroughly entertaining.

As an avid horror nut, this makes me very sad.

His Time Warp Trio series is a fucking triumph of children's literature.

God, I really love that film.

I know no one on here really cares about the music, but her new album is her best in years. Just sos yous knowin'.

Mustard, onions, relish, and sauerkraut are like God's gift to tubed meat.
