Monsters is actually very good. Very slow, but in a dreamy way. I like it a lot.

As a fan of the books, I actually enjoyed the film. The one major flaw — and it's a big one — is that Olaf wasn't nearly scary enough. The man needs to be monstrous. Other than that the tone felt right, and the look of the film was great.

I actually adore this movie. The perfect blend of """science""" and entertainment. I'm not afraid of spiders either, so this was just a fun movie to watch as a kid.
