I got a Hannibal news update for this?
*shakes angry fist at the AVClub*

That is the greatest website in existence.

Yeh, fair enough. I remember reading the Sam Adams review and being disappointed JGL had made a movie with a misogynistic message, Border's review seemed to notice the subtleties a bit more which restored my faith.

I remember the AVClub Sundance review completely missed out the Julianne Moore plot line which was a pretty odd choice as it actually serves as a counterpoint to the whole "prudish" Scarlett Johansson storyline.
Meredith Border's review on Badass Digest makes it sound like a much better movie, though still flawed

wrong place

Embrace it my good man. Then embrace your penis.

I'm not saying the scientific process and using uncommon terms are equally rigorous, I'm pointing out that both using a microscope and using atypical language are tools to help overcome human perspecitve. Neither are articles of faith.

No not really, unusual language can help give a different perspective or at least make it easier to disregard an ingrained one for the purposes of considering a hypothesis. It's no more an article of faith than using tools that measure beyond the realms of human senses in sciences is an article of faith.
And yes I'm

That's probably because I fucked up the explanation, and "French writer" just sets alarm bells off anyway.

Fully agreed.

@nowlo:disqus,
I think her believing she's going to get the knight (and night) of her dreams is what makes her one of the least sharp tools in the shed, as it were.

Now that I can understand, he doesn't do MOR C's though.

The asterisk at the end of my sentence denotes I was waiting for such a comment. Nice work on being boringly predictable. Thankfully we can't say the same for Ki-Duk

This place is REALLY missing Noel Murray. Kim Ki-Duk couldn't craft a C grade movie if he actively tried*.

Damn, that would be better.

Dennis: Littlefinger
Dee:  Brienne
Charlie: Tyrion
Frank: Vargo Hoat
Mac:  Renly
Crickets: Theon
The McPoyles: The Freys

I'd say Ladykillers too, Intolerable Cruelty still gets screwball right.

You know I'd forgotten about Oz, I'm sure that is his worst. I quite like Love of The Game tbh, it's a good Costner performance and it's not quite as cliched as your average sports drama.

Ok we can safely say Spiderman (pick a number) is Raimi's low watermark. What's the Coen's?

@avclub-ffb45e91041258fc97b6e11d4450f66c:disqus  - preferring naked women on your show to naked men isn't misogyny.
Glad we cleared that up.
