Wow, that show lasted a lot longer than I thought. That's like, actually a respectable showing. Imagine if Clark Gregg and Julia Louis-Dreyfus were only ever known for their five-season stint on Old Christine!

Eileen Elaine Ellie Christine Selina.

I came here for a comment from the Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, and I am greatly disappointed.

The only thing good about Prometheus is that I saw it in a movie theatre after a heavy rain, and just as the dumbfuck scientists were getting dumbfuck lost in one of the creepy caves, a huge glob of water dripped down onto my lap and scared the shit out of me. It was awesome.

I can't believe they made a whole television series out of this. That said, yay Michael Shannon!

Everything gets rounded to the nearest $0.05. However, if you pay by credit/debit card it's still the full amount.

Fascinating.

Mmmm… Veal Parmigiana. Delicious.

"those pennies that look just like American pennies." Aha! Not anymore!*

oh yeah well my dad managed to get Lorde for my birthday party.

eh?

This week's plot implausibility: Carrie's just been MIA with her psychotic father for days, and the best protection they can come up with is Elena? Admittedly the police force is short-staffed, but there has to be someone better equipped to stay with her/ALSO VISIT HER OWN HOUSE where her father would obviously be

It's an interesting critique, but not one that I necessarily agree with. Certainly the opening is the most magical - I actually knew nothing about the game, so the slowly dawning realisation that I was playing in first-person was pretty incredible - but I hardly agree that it takes away control.

To me, the big failing in this movie is its over-insistence that everything in the Alien universe is ultimately tied to humanity.  In the originals, you had humanity seeking bio-weapon, stumbling across Alien, learning valuable lesson about galactic creepy-crawlies.
